Spicy cheeseburger with Tranquilizer hot sauce

It’s no big news that burgers and hot sauce is a great combo. There are several ways to combine the two. The easiest way is to sprinkle some on top of the patty, but @foodfromclaudnine did something different with our Tranquilizer hot sauce. Check out this lovely recipe below:
For 2 people you’ll need:
- 2 burgers
- 2 buns
- Lettuce
- 1 tomato
- 2 tea spoons of mayonaise
- 2 onions
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- pepper & salt
- Tranquilizer hot sauce by Raijmakers Heetmakers
- a Knob of Butter
- Take your burgers out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature
- Get your oven to 180 degrees celsius
- Put a knob of butter into your pan and add the onion. Stir occasionaly. We want the onion to caramelise and this will take a while.
- Add some butter to an other pan and season the burgers with salt and pepper. Grill your burgers on both sides until they’re colouring brown on the outside. Put down the heat and let your burgers cook until preffered doneness.
- Cut the buns in half and put them in the preheated oven. It may only need 2 or 3 minutes. You don’t want the buns to get too hard.
- Slice the tomato and wash the lettuce.
- Put a teaspoon of mayonaise on the bottom half of the bun, add the lettuce and two slices of tomato. Leave it like this.
- When your onion is caramelised, add some Tranquilizer hot sauce to give the sweet onions a spicy twist.
- When your beef patties have the doneness you want, turn of the fire. Put some cheddar cheese on your burgers and put a lit on the pan. This way the cheddar will melt perfectly.
- Put your burgers on the bun and add the spicy onion. Now you’re done. Enjoy!

How to mix our hot sauces with other sauces?

Are you new to the hot sauce game or are other sauces such as mayonaise or ketchup just never spicy enough? Mixing our hot sauces with other sauces can then be a smart idea, since Raijmakers Heetmakers is great for adding heat to just about everything. Below you’ll find some great mixing examples which you should absolutely try.
Jalapeño Mayonaise
Combining mayonaise with our Immune Booster will make you never want to have plain mayonaise again. Pour some mayonaise in a cup and add Immune Booster hot sauce (with Jalapeño, lime & gin) until you have reached the right amount of heat and jalapeño flavour. It’s addictive.
Spicy Habanero Mustard
Sometimes mustard is spicy enough on it’s own, but if you have a plain one in your fridge you can just use our Tranquilizer to add that Habanero heat and flavour. You are going to love this combo. If this still isn’t hot enough, you can always use our Brain Buzzer (with Carolina Reaper) instead of Tranquilizer.
Chipotle & creme fraiche nacho dip
Who doesn’t like nacho chips? The plain ones need a good dipping sauce of course and it’s very easy to make one. Get some crème fraiche from the supermarket and pour in some Heat Enhancer hot sauce (with chipotle, habanero and whiskey). This will make a lovely sweet and sour dipping with a smokey and spicy touch. By the way, all of our hot sauces go great with crème fraiche, so you will never go wrong on a spicy nacho dip.
Carolina Reaper Ketchup
There are spicy ketchups on the market, but if you want to go hard then you can add some Carolina Reaper hot sauce to your regular ketchup. Our Brain Buzzer has Carolina Reaper peppers, tomato and ginger in it and combines very well with ketchup. This one’s not for the faint hearted!
